At Cacaoté, we are dedicated to bringing the finest Belgian chocolate experiences to India. Our team of artisans and chocolatiers, guided by Our 3 Michelin-starred chef Jonathan Gallet, whose exceptional skills and artistry elevate Cacaoté’s creations into gourmet cakes, chocolates, and macarons.

VRAJ PATEL (CO-FOUNDER)

Our founder, Vraj Patel, was born and raised in Antwerp, Belgium where his early immersion in a world of master chocolatiers led to a deep appreciation for the country’s renowned chocolate craftsmanship. It also fuelled his dream of bringing the Belgian legacy of luxury chocolates to India. Cacaoté was born from Vraj’s vision to create sophisticated confectionery experiences for Indian customers, comparable to the best globally.

RITA PATEL (CO-FOUNDER)

Rita Patel’s passion for chocolate and pastry-making has been nurtured throughout her many years living in Belgium, Where she continues to reside. This is what inspired her to pursue a diploma in confectionery. She played a crucial role in establishing Cacaoté’s state-of-the-art kitchen, ensuring the use of the finest 2 ingredients, and maintaining the highest standards of quality. Rita collaborates closely with our Michelin Star chef to curate Cacaoté’s exceptional chocolate offerings.

CHEF JONATHAN GALLET

Chef Jonathan Gallet is the pivotal force behind Cacaoté’s unique appeal, bringing 25 years of experience as a trained pâtissier. His passion for pastry began in his childhood, and after extensive culinary training, he broadened his horizons internationally. Jonathan’s pursuit of excellence led him to work in London and in Germany with the Alain Ducasse group. In Antwerp, Belgium, he helped Kasteel Withof earn its first Michelin star. In France, while working with the Rothschild group, he secured a second Michelin star.

Jonathan further honed his skills under Yannick Alleno at One & Only, The Palm, Dubai, managing a team of 18 pâtissiers. His career also took him to Hong Kong with the Shangri-La group and Turkey to the Maxx Royal Hotel, where he led a team of 35 pâtissiers, bakers, and chocolatiers. It was at Maxx Royal that he met Vraj Patel, who invited him to develop Cacaoté in India. Jonathan’s deep love for gastronomy, his creativity, and his relentless pursuit of perfection make him an invaluable asset to the Cacaoté team.
